Metal roofs and chilly temps

New panels (L) vs. old panels (R)

Work continues at 2606 Newkirk. The roofers have been hard at work this week on replacing the metal roof atop our fellowship hall (Jennings Hall, named after Rev. C. Wesley Jennings; Pastor from 1969-1981). FUN FACT: The new panels are only 2' wide compared to the old panels which were 3'. This has resulted in more panels on the roof and a slower installation process. Props to the roofers who have been working in some of the coldest temps of the season here in Wilmington. Due to the roof work, the power has been shut-off in Jennings Hall, and it will remain so until the work is done.
