Lent is a season of spiritual discipline, preparation, and renewal that starts annually with Ash Wednesday and anticipates the celebration of the death and resurrection of Christ at Easter. We’ve got several special activities planned for this year, and we invite you to participate as much as you can.
• TAIZE’ WORSHIP – Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm.
Take a midweek respite and enjoy worship in the style of Taize’—meditative singing, the reading of scripture, and periods of intentional silence. For more information on Taize' visit www.taize.fr.
• NEW SERMON SERIES: “Words in Red.” Many Bibles indicate in red all of the words spoken by Jesus. During the Sundays in Lent, Pastor Jonathan will be exploring many of these verses—words that marked Jesus' ministry of love, compassion, and sacrifice.
• Since the Lenten focus is on the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, we invite you to bring a cross from home that holds special meaning for you or your family. We’ll display the crosses on the window ledges in the Sanctuary throughout the season.
